Electronics/Software: Many years experience in writing specialist software for
control and data logging systems. Electronic design using analogue and digital
techniques from component to system level. Hardware and software of embedded PC’s
and microcontrollers for all sorts of mobile applications. Specification and design
of instrumentation and control systems. Experience of biosensor technology and micro
fluidics, instrumentation and control for environmental monitoring, non invasive
monitoring of animals, instrumentation and control of agricultural vehicles,
automated crop monitoring systems.
Mechanical Design and Construction: Wide experience of designing & building equipment
for scientific research from large building and vehicle test rigs down to micro chambers
for cell research. Designs using Solid Modelling CAD software to enable projects to be
envisaged for customer approval before construction begins. A lot of specialist skills
have been built up in the biosensor area designing various rigs and flow cells. A huge
array of machining and fabrication skills are available to back up the design side.
